Barnaul

Another non-standard classic entered the repertoire of the Altai Youth Theater — the tragedy of Friedrich Schiller “Maria Stuart” director Maxim Sokolov turned into an “opera.” We finished the genre based on the words of the director himself: “This does not mean that the artists will sing opera voices, we will have a sound sound invented by Vladimir Bocharov. But a significant part of the actors, indeed, will be a modern analogue of the ancient choir. ” By the way, the choir artists will exist in the play, as expected, on coturns. In addition to music, a significant role in the play is played by a documentary and poetic narrative — for example, sonnets of Joseph Brodsky sound.

The MTA performance is called “Mary I Stuart” — the directors explain this by emphasizing the historical significance and paying tribute to the last years of the Queen’s life and tragic death. In Barnaul, the play has already been dubbed the theatrical Game of Thrones, and Maxim Sokolov, explaining the choice of material, recalls another popular series: “Friedrich Schiller wrote this tragedy, disappointed in the ideas of absolutism. Today we also wonder: what is the risk of an unlimited monarchy? In addition, characters are psychologically subtly developed in this material — you read a play like the script of the Netflix series The Crown: in it the relationship of people is a tangle of personal benefits and public interests. ”

It will be interesting — March 6 and 13.

Chelyabinsk

Once again, the Chelyabinsk Youth Theater is surprising — today the premiere of Onegin is here, but in a not quite familiar way. “How to put” Eugene Onegin “? Everything at Pushkin is already placed, everything is, everything is bright and alive”, — the theater asks a question. And the director Ivan Minevtsev found the answer and the way — Chelyabinsk “Onegin” will go in the genre of poetic symphony.

"" Onegin “is music, melody. I want to hear her, grab her, follow her. Then images, paintings, atmosphere, era, living people, their voices and characters arise, “the creative team explains the idea. It also includes the famous playwright Alexei Zhitkovsky, who had a difficult task — to work with the Pushkin text. According to Zhitkovsky, when he heard about the idea, he did not hesitate to announce to the director that this idea was crazy: ‘Poetry of an incredible level, what can be done with it, how to touch it?’ Nevertheless, the staging was born.

The composer Konstantin Khazanovich took about two months to create music for the performance: ‘This is a time-consuming work, but when you like the process, you can sit for many hours. Especially when there is a connection to the material — there is a feeling that you do not come up with a melody, and it is broadcast from you. ’

The main character of the play Ivan Minevtsev makes Tatyana — more precisely, three Tatyans. ‘We want to show what Tatyana is like in different parts of life,’ the director comments. — Including, decades later. She was able to survive this tragedy. But Onegin could not. ”

Spectators can be surprised by the fantasies of the directors on March 6 and 26.

Golden Mask National Festival-Award - Mask Plus

Last weekend, the out-of-competition program of the Golden Mask National Festival-Award — Mask Plus — started in Moscow 13 times and will last until March 10. The poster included 12 productions from St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Novosibirsk, Syktyvkar, Perm and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

"The program of the Mask Plus festival includes performances, each of which has its own strangeness, disproportionacy, redundancy or, on the contrary, ultimate minimalism, as well as a grotesque type of imagery. In the year when the Russian theater discovered the possibilities of creating digital performances, productions will arrive in Moscow, whose charm is primarily concluded in rabid acting energy, no matter how old-fashioned it sounds, “comment the curators of the Mask Plus program Julia Kleiman and Vera Cordernaya.

Shows of Novosibirsk performances “Beauty Zone” of the Monday Off Theater and “Mushrooms” of the First Theater have already taken place.

In today’s poster — “Maria Stuart” from the Yuzhno-Sakhalin “Chekhov Center”: “a real performance of a large form from the most distant theater in Russia from Moscow, which in recent years has always attracted the interest of critics,” according to curators.

We wish the participants successful shows!

Nizhnevartovsk

The Nizhnevartovsk Drama Theater opened, as they themselves say, “the shortest season” — but it started immediately from two events. Firstly, the audience saw the premiere of the mystical drama “Mermaid” based on the unfinished work of Alexander Pushkin. The performance was created as part of the Artlaboratia project — its first show was held online in December 2020, and now, finally, there is an opportunity to see it “live.” Laboratory participants tried to rethink the plot of the work. “Despite the fact that this is a fairy tale, parable, myth, heroes are faced with very real, sharp and scary questions for modern man: can you run away from yourself, can you justify betrayal, can you live with this load all your life, can you get relief from revenge?” — says director Olesya Nevmerzhitskaya.

Also, the opening of the season is timed to the personal exhibition of the main artist Vyacheslav Zaichikov “Terrible Tales,” which presents painting, graphics, poster, scenography, theater costume and art objects made in different years.

The premiere screenings of “Mermaid” will be held on February 20, 26 and 27, the exhibition works on the days of repertory performances.

It is considered one of the best performances of Novosibirsk also today — Antonio Latella’s production “Peer Gynt” will be played on February 21 55 times. This event will precede a marathon “Without distance”, devoted to “Peer Gynt”: the actors occupied in a performance implement own creative projects.

Tara

The main news of this hour: everything is fine in Udmurtia! And this is all the news for today. ” Almost 10 years after the writing of Valery Shergin’s play “Concentration Camps” sounds even more relevant the audience of the Mikhail Ulyanov Northern Drama Theater will be able to find confirmation of this by coming to the premiere today.

Concentration camps are residents of the closed republic of Udmurtia, who found themselves inside a totalitarian police system with laws and rules. Everyone adapts in their own way to such a life, but they do not leave thoughts of escape.

Despite the sharp, it would seem, plot, Valery Shergin defines “Concentration Camps” as “a kind play with elements of violence,” emphasizing the word “good.” “Because good wins in it,” says the playwright. — In fact, this play was my protest against the all-consuming “blackness.” I did not invest or intend to invest in a play domestic or any political subtext. I was more inspired by thinking about freedom. Is she even somewhere? Is it better where we are not? "

The performance in Tara was staged by Mikhail Egorov in the design of the artist Anton Bogatov. In the near future, the only premiere show is scheduled — February 18.

Tobolsk

Behind almost a year of work (though with significant breaks), and today the Tobolsk Drama Theater named after Peter Ershov finally presents the premiere of “Last Summer in Chulimsk.”

Director Vladimir Orel already staged the last play of Alexander Vampilov 12 years ago in Tyumen, but it is recognized that the current performance is very different from the past — other accents, a different understanding. In the sad, there is also a place for funny, and in the love and human drama unfolding in the taiga town, there are comical moments.

Vladimir Orel emphasizes that during rehearsals and the decision of episodes, in many ways he walked from the psychophysics of the actors. By the way, they themselves believe that the performance will be interesting to different generations: “Our heroes are young people, and the situation in which they find themselves could happen today,” says actress Natalia Ponomareva.

The premiere will be held on February 17, after which the performance can be seen only in March.

Irkutsk

And again, Irkutsk is in touch with us - this time the Drama Theater named after Nikolai Okhlopkov shares joyful news. Today, the 171st season finally opens here - after almost the longest break in the history of the theater lasting almost 10 months.

After the separation, the theater will present the audience with the premiere, which all this time was “frozen,” — the change “Love is a golden book” was held in March last year. Director Gennady Gushchin staged the play by Alexei Tolstoy as a comedy that transforms into drama in the course of the action: here are amorous passions and Greek splendors — but is there happiness?

The occupancy of the auditorium in the Irkutsk region has currently been increased from 25 to 50%, so the chances of seeing the premiere among the Irkutsk people have increased.

By the way, rehearsals and the next premiere resumed — the main director of the theater Stanislav Maltsev is working on Viktor Rozov’s play “From Evening to Noon.” Screenings are scheduled for April.

Tyumen

The story of fears, clips, bans. Skeletons in the closet. About the cons of herd thinking. And about how not to miss chance.

So the Tyumen Drama Theater announces premiere — and all this is about the already famous play by Anthony McCarten, Stephen Sinclair and Jacques Collard “Only for Women!.” Rehearsals of the performance lasted several months, and according to the creative team, the further, the more confidence in the relevance of this plot grew. “Now is really a time of change, when many people are forced to change their profession and gender, classes say director Sergei Osintsev. — Sooner or later the question arises: am I now ready to turn life by 180 degrees and start from scratch? I myself personally more than once encountered such a choice in crisis situations and took risks. ”

Despite the name, the theater is sure that the new production will be interesting to men, because this is a story about them — about their experiences and fluctuations, friendship and quarrels, trust, and most importantly, that in any situation you need to remain a man.

The premiere of “Only for Women!” Will be held on February 13, 14, 20 and 22.

Irkutsk

Today is the long-awaited day for the Irkutsk Theater of Young Spectators: after an almost one-year break, the doors are finally open for the audience! True, the occupancy of the hall cannot yet exceed 25%, so a very limited number of tickets went on sale.

Opening the season will be the premiere of “Boys” by Viktor Rozov based on the novel by Fedor Dostoevsky “The Karamazov Brothers” — director Alexander Grechman began working on this performance in August.

In addition to “Boys,” in February the audience will have two more premieres. Already on February 14, you can see a new version of the play “My Happiness” by Alexander Chervinsky — director Elena Konstantinova introduced another cast, in addition, the scenery was updated. And for children, a play is being prepared on the tale of Sergei Kozlov “On the green hills of the ocean” — the premiere shows are scheduled for February 20 and 21.

Congratulations on the opening and wish to implement all plans!

Ussuriysk

The block of premiere screenings of the tragicomedy “Egoists” is launched today by the Ussuri Drama Theater named after Komissarzhevskaya. Director Niyole Makutenaite promises to surprise the audience with an unusual interpretation of Alla Sokolova’s famous play Fantasies of Faryatyev and speaks of performance as a “movie for aliens.”

The story of a fantasist doctor, a man “not from this world,” insanely and irresponsibly in love with a music teacher, formally unfolds in such a way as if representatives of extraterrestrial civilizations saw her from the outside — that is, “aliens watch a film about a difficult human life.” At the same time, the young director decided to talk with the audience primarily about understanding.

"We all live in a world of fantasies. Someone has them closer to reality, someone is winding in the clouds. And it is very difficult from this world to penetrate the world of another person. After all, we read the actions of another person not from his position, but through a personal prism of perception. How to find this mutual understanding, how to see and hear another person? "- asks Niyole Makutenaite.

Perhaps someone will find answers for themselves by coming to the premiere shows on February 11, 12, 13 and 21.

Omsk

A notable event today in the Omsk "Fifth Theater" - a new venue opens here. The experimental scene was called "Space 25," thus noting the average age of the target audience. "Today, the newest generation of directors, artists and performers has appeared in the space of theater Russia, who deny theatrical conventions and think at the intersection of arts and genres," theater representatives comment. "This generation has a completely different approach to a youth audience interested in technology, actively present in social networks."

On the opening day of Space 25, the premiere of Ksenia Peschik's performance game "This Is Us/This Is You," where the audience will be the object of art research, will take place. How often do we draw conclusions about a person by barely looking at him? How often are we right? And what is the impression of us? Each person is a whole world, and when you recognize the other, you can learn something about yourself.

Also on February 6, as part of the events dedicated to the opening of the new stage, a public lecture by theater critic Anton Alekseev "The viewer rules!" Will be held - we will talk about a theater in which there may not be actors, but there may not be a viewer.

According to the curator of the site, deputy director of the Fifth Theater Ekaterina Kulakova, two more projects are planned for implementation in Space 25 before the end of the season, but details will be revealed a little later.

Yakuts

The theater of the young audience of the Republic of Sakha presented on the eve of the premiere of the psychological drama “Spouses of Oryol” (“Kargenniya Orlovtar”) based on the story of Maxim Gorky.

A small courtyard, a basement apartment, dirty gray walls — the scenography of Maria Ivanova instantly immerses the viewer in the world of the Orlovs — a family that survived (or rather, has not survived until now) the death of an only child. But their hopeless life changes dramatically when an epidemic begins in the city...

In his production, director Anton Botakov touches on the topic of choice: is there rock, a fate that there is no way to confront, or is a person himself able to make a decision and act in accordance with his moral compass?

Ulan-Ude

Last fall, Professor Gustaf’s play “The Swedish Family” was ready for release at the Bestuzhev Russian Drama Theater, but the theaters of Buryatia were able to start work very recently, so the premiere will take place only now.

The artistic director of the theater, Sergey Levitsky, first turned to the popular genre of “position comedy,” and acted immediately as the author of the play, director and artist. “It was an adventurous and risky decision — to compose a performance in the format, as they say,” work-in-progress, “that is, in the process of rehearsals,” comments Sergey Levitsky. “There is a canva, there is an invented story, but in detail — dialogues, characters — we worked out already in the process.”

Despite the ease of the genre, the performance will not be a banal comedy — the level is still taken differently. According to the plot, professor of oceanology Gustaf Andersson made a great scientific discovery — he learned how to make the world a better, more humane, more merciful. But in an attempt to save humanity, he cannot make even his own family happy. And now he has to understand not only family relations, but also save the whole life from the encroachment of influential people who want to get his work.

So, although with humor, Sergey Levitsky speaks of very important things: about a world without violence, about the fact that every person is responsible for peace in every sense of this word, from peace in his family to a planet.

The premiere of Professor Gustaf’s Swedish Family will be held on February 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Norilsk

Not so long ago, having feathered on the Big Stage, today the Norilsk Polar Drama Theater named after Vladimir Mayakovsky presents a new performance on the Malaya stage — as part of the Free Space project, the sentimental story “Ladies Tango” comes out here.

The play by Valentina Aslanova is dedicated to the fate of the artist: the former soloist of the music hall Madeleine Verduren — now forgotten — gets a chance to return to the stage. And a whirlwind of preparations, examples, rehearsals rises — and, of course, memories of a brilliant past. The story only “pretends” to be French — in fact, the play is based on the facts of the biography of Soviet film star Irina Pechernikova.

“Chamber, personal, intimate, warm, with a naked nerve and at the same time ironic nudity — this performance is about the life of the Theater, about love and loneliness, about creativity and friendship,” — this is how the Northernmost production of Yakov Allenov under the artistic direction of Anna Babanova.

The premiere shows will be held on February 3, 7 and 28.
